Established 1990

Buist Motor Products Ltd. has been in business in Rimbey since 1990. The dealership has been in two locations with the first being in an older converted commercial building on the main street in downtown Rimbey.

In the late nineties the land the current new building is on was purchased, plans were drawn up and a new building was built to General Motors Image 2000 design criteria. In the spring of 2000 the new building was officially opened by the Rimbey Mayor and the Alberta Zone Manger for General Motors. This new facility provided us with the much needed space and modern equipment needed to service and sell today’s high-tech vehicles.

The dealership currently has around twenty-five employee’s making it one of Rimbey’s largest private employers. The owners and management of the dealership are strong believers in giving back to the community and as such Buist Motors is pleased to participate in a wide variety of community events and programs.

Central Alberta Raceways

Buist Motors is proud to sponsor the new Rimbey Kinsmen Motor Sports Park. The creation of this park will bring to Alberta a premium multi event motor park. The park will include a 1/4 Mile Drag Strip, two race ovals, 1/4 mile motorbike flat oval, demolition derby, mud bog, motocross track and more. The outline plan gives you an overview of this great facility and how unique this project is.

With Buist Motors' support work will continue on the east ¼ mile drag strip (The Buist Motors Lane). Buist Motors also sponsored the raffle of a 2005 Corvette on December 31 2005.
